Chhota Kailash: A place with trekking and beautiful views

From Kathgodam in the Haldwani city of Nainital, it can be reached by walking 4 km after a 30 km car journey.

From here one can see Pantnagar, Sitarganj, Nanakmatta, Haldwani Lower Terai and Bhabar hills like Bhowali, Jeolikote, Nainital, Naukuchiatal etc.

It is believed about this place that Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati had come here in Satyug, and they rested here.

This hill is the highest among the surrounding hills.

Going further about 150- 200 meters from here, you can also see the Hedakhan temple and the Gomti Ganga river, which further reaches Haldwani and is called Gola river.

During the month of Shivaratri and Sawan, there is a special movement of devotees here. People come here from far and wide and get the darshan of Shiva.
